Lange Zeit war es bezüglich Postcrossing hier ruhig. Das Buch und die Uni haben ihren zeitlichen Zoll verlangt. Jetzt fange ich langsam wieder an, Postkarten zu schreiben und demzufolge erhalte ich auch wieder welche. Die erste stammt aus Finnland.

Das Gebäude auf der Karte ist ein Teil der finnischen Nationalgalerie. Für die Autorin ist es das schönste Gebäude in Helsinki. Der Suomen Taideyhdistys (finnischer Kunstverein) begann Kunst zu sammeln und stellte diese öffentlich aus. Gegen Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts bekam die Ausstellung ein eigenes Gebäude, eben das Ateneum. Heute beherbergt es mehr als 5000 Ausstellungsstücke. Der Großteil sind Werke finnischer Künstler.
