BashBurn

Mika machte mich durch einen Eintrag im grml-Blog auf BashBurn aufmerksam. Dies ist ein Shellscript zum Brennen von CDs. Man kann das direkt auf der Projektseite herunterladen und über ein Installskript installieren oder als Gentoo-Nutzer mittels emerge bashburn auf das System bringen. Nach der Installation wird das Programm durch den Aufruf bashburn gestartet und man erhält ein kleines Menu Menu von BashBurn. Nach dem ersten Start muss das Programm konfiguriert werden. Das Konfigurationsmenu ist einfach und logisch aufgebaut. In wenigen Minuten ist das Programm einsatzbereit. Nach der Konfiguration versuchte ich eine CD von einem bestehenden ISO-Image zu brennen. Hierzu muss das Image im Verzeichnis /tmp/burn liegen. Nach der Auswahl des entsprechenden Menupunktes funktioniert der Rest automatisch. Auch andere Tests funktionierten mit dem Programm problemlos. Wer also gern auf der Kommandozeile arbeitet, sollte BashBurn unbedingt mal testen.
