Last durch Spam

Gestern rannte mal wieder eine Spamattacke hier durch das Blog und der Webserver ächzte arg: 22:52:57 up 54 days, 4:37, 15 users, load average: 101.67, 100.38, 100.31 (laut Ausgabe von uptime)

Ich habe dann in der Datei comment.php mal die Zeile if ($_REQUEST[’type’] == ‘trackback’) die(’Disabled’); (nach einem Hinweis aus dem S9Y-Board) eingetragen und schon ist die Load wieder dauerhaft unter Eins. :-)

Ja, Trackback-Spam ist echt die Pest :-( Ich experimentiere bei mir gerade mit einem simplen “sanity check”:

Die IP-Adresse, von welcher der Trackback-Ping kommt, muß aus dem selben IP-Bereich stammen (ich vergleiche momentan die ersten 24 Bits) wie die IP-Adresse des Servers, der als Trackback-Link angegeben ist. Der Vergleich ist billig (im Sinne von Rechenzeit) und erwischt sämtliche Bot-Netze :-) Wie’s mit false positives aussieht, wird die Zeit zeigen...
